John B. Dey Elementary PTA is pleased to offer five
Scholarships to four Students and one Teacher
This year there will be one teacher scholarship at $500, 3 student scholarships at $500 and one scholarship of $1500 to the top student applicant
in honor of Betty Ann Stephenson
The Scholarships are in honor of Betty Ann Stephenson, Joan Melton, Lee Capwell,
Lois Whaley, Kenneth Davis, Sr., Elizabeth Bianchi
Application due date for the 2024 - 2025 school year is Thursday, March 27, 2025
*Applications must be dropped off to the main office by 2:30pm
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
* Applicant must have attended John B. Dey Elementary School for at least two years and
be a graduating VBCPS high school senior in good standing.
* Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and have been accepted by an
accredited college, university, or vocational training school.
* Award recipients must provide a letter of declaration from their
selected University/College/Technical school.
APPLICATION PROCEDURES
* John B. Dey Elementary School PTA will award scholarships who meet the eligibility criteria and have received the highest scores from our panel of judges based on answers to four criteria/questions.
* All applicants will remain anonymous to our judges.
* Incomplete and/or late applications will not be considered.
* Completed application packets may be mailed or dropped off to the main office by March 27th, 2025
