What is the Fitness Club?
The fitness club is to promote and encourage physical fitness on a regular basis
and to emphasize the importance of an active lifestyle.

This year (the club’s second year), it will be through a running/walking program during regular school hours. The focus is on participation and personal achievement and continued improvement.

How do I participate?
Students who participate in PE (1st through 5th grade) will be able to walk/run mileage on a
1/5 mile track during the 15-Minute “recess” portion of their 45 minute PE class.
(Mr. K has the discretion to make the track unavailable on any day.)

The PE assistants will make a mark on small piece of paper at the completion of each 1/5 mile
and the total mileage at the end of the PE “recess” period will be recorded on a form.
(The small piece of paper may be discarded if it comes home.)

The students' mileage data will be compiled three times per year. Click here to see mileage accumulated so far.  Click here  to see last year's accomplishments.
The mileage starts accumulating on October 1, 2011 and continues through May 25th, 2012.
