of Mt. Everest!
Every mile logged at JBD is equal to a foot of
elevation. The elevation from the city of Tingri to the Summit
is 15,235 feet.
Can JBD walk/run the equivalent distance in
miles and then safely back to Base Camp (26,670 miles)?
... or all the
way back to Tingri (30,470 miles)?

We are we now?
 JBD students have logged 11,473 miles from
1 October, 2011 through 22 December, 2011.
We left Tingri (13,800 feet) and are on the ascent between Camp 3 (23,500 feet) and Camp 4 (26,300
feet).
Mr. K has awarded 1,901 “5” mile tags,
67 “26.2” mile marathon tags,
and 10 “50” mile tags.
